Bio.

MediSun is a two-time Grammy award winning songwriter, who was born and raised in Boston by two Caribbean parents enmeshed in the music community. Medi’s sound is the sonic manifestation of his diverse musical environment and has been referred to as TropicSol. This cutting edge, new genre has been described as “Caribbean, R&B, and a lil bit trippy” and is distinctive in his own music while being woven into the fabric of those he offers his penmanship to.

Coming from a long line of talented musicians in his family, it was inevitable that Medi would skillfully carry the baton to another level. He developed his craft from watching his father Supreme, a major recording artist from Monserrat, W.I.

Having epilepsy up until the age of 12, Medi wasn’t easily accepted by peers. He found comfort in melodies, support in rhythms and expression in lyrics. His love for music began there, specifically the experience of performing with a live band. The fearlessness conveyed through live performance provided him a sense of peace and serenity.

The “scorch dem” lyricist has collaborated, both as an artist and writer, with Beres Hammond, Lucky Daye, Kabaka Pyramid, Damian Marley, Morgan Heritage, Chronixx, and EarthGang, just to name a few. Although Medi has toured all over in countries like Beirut, Lebanon, Germany, Austria, South Africa, Kenya, and Costa Rica, the world eagerly anticipates more offerings of "healing sounds" as he gears up to bring the musical remedy to restore the vibes that the culture has been looking for.
